Food For Trains
The Japanese bento box is traditionally a beautifully decorated lunch box, made with white rice, fish or meat and pickled or fresh vegetables. The components are carefully arranged in a box to create an attractive and appetizing meal. During my travels through Japan, my favourite way af traveling was by train. Each station, no matter how small has its own Ekiben or railway bento made with local specialities.
